Robilant+Voena returns to artmonte-carlo with a presentation of two halves, featuring modern masters with a focus on the gallery’s specialism in post-War Italian art, alongside contemporary artists whose practice engages with the great tradition of the Old Masters.

Forming the central focus are twentieth-century works by modern masters such as Fernand Léger, and pioneering Italian artists including Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, Agostino Bonalumi, and Armando Marrocco. The colours of gold and white provide a unifying theme across many of these pieces.

In addition to our strong selection of modern masters, our display includes works by established contemporary artists such as Julian Schnabel and Damien Hirst.

Developing our contemporary offering, Robilant+Voena is pleased to feature two artists – Sergio Roger and Antoine Roegiers – both of whom respond to historic art with their unique artistic vision. These artists present new pieces, specially commissioned for artmonte-carlo; three sculptures by Sergio Roger reimagine the antique sculptural tradition, and a painting by Antoine Roegiers builds upon the artist’s profound admiration for Flemish Old Masters, bringing the display to a dramatic and vivid climax.
