Description
The title of this hand-carved ring refers to the British Columbia wolf that inhabits temperate parts of Alaska and Canada. The piece is crafted from Ankole cow horn; its jet black appearance reflects the dark fur characteristic of the wolf it portrays.
The wolf's eyes, inlaid with 24 carat gold, appear to glow from within, animating the head of this wild creature. Like a talisman with a hidden power, the wolf gazes beyond the known world into a greater depth beyond, perhaps fixed upon an unseen prey, or perhaps looking towards the realm of the divine.
